The West Pier was a beautiful place to walk and I would love to do so again.
But seeing as it’s in exactly the same condition as I last remember, how about joining up the metal structure to accommodate a sea net so that we could have a magnificent swimming pool as a means for swimming in the sea.
The net would stop sharks coming in like they do in Australia.
My aunt used to swim around this pier in the 1960s but I wasn’t strong enough.
Something to think about, anyway...
