More than 300 people explored a new Worthing school building dubbed a “huge boost” to the pupils, parents and staff.
The new building at The Vale School in Worthing was officially opened on Friday and the school welcomed the key players in getting the development approved and installed.
Headteacher Martin Garratt said: “The day was a great success and it was really good to be able to invite lots of the key people from West Sussex County Council to the builders to thank them.
“It’s going to enhance the curriculum and enable us to teach a wider range of subjects, such as food technology and more music.
“We’ve now got a library, which we haven’t had in a long time, so that will allow students to learn and engage more in the curriculum.
“The development in our playground hasjust made it a much more pleasant environment for the pupils to play, so it’s a huge boost.”
