It was lovely to see Ronnie Corbett again in his new show on BBC One the other evening.

We are so used to seeing him with the other Ronnie (Barker) in a multitude of sketches that I felt we were meeting the real Ronnie.

If we were seeing the real Ronnie, the other stars of the show were certainly not being themselves.

Animal Crackers really did give us a new slant on man’s best friend as one lovely dog after another was shown off. It was heartwarming to see Ronnie’s love for the animals.

I was left with a happy feeling afterwards which I did not want to lose. Remembering the hilarious sketches on my Two Ronnie records soon put a smile back on my face.
