What a great route! Get across Brighton and Hove without going in. There would be less bus congestion in North Street.
My route would run as follows: Brighton Marina – Wilson Avenue – Bear Road – Hollingdean Road – Ditching Road – Preston Drove – Millers Road – Upper Drive – The Drive – Town Hall.
This route takes in City College East, Varndean schools, Dorothy Stringer school, Cardinal Newman and Bhasvic, helping all Brighton and Hove children get to school and college. It also encourages parents to use the bus for all the primary schools en route.
In addition, it would transport people from the Sainsbury’s at the Vogue Gyratory up into Hollingdean and on Fiveways, and take them up the steep hill of Bear Road towards Whitehawk, allowing for visits to the cemeteries from both sides. It would take people who wanted to walk around Sheepcote Valley or in Preston Park.
At either end, it would serve Hove Town Hall and the shops in Church Road, and ferry people living in the northern parts of Brighton and Hove to the marina.
Would the bus company put this on?
