Burglars broke into a pub smashed up slot machines and made off with cash.
A window at The Branch Tavern in London Road, Brighton, was forced open between 3-3.20am on September 25.
Significant damage was caused with money taken from two slot machines and behind the bar.
PC Dave Rea said: "There were a lot of people in London Road at the time of the burglary, many of whom would have passed the pub as it was being broken into.
"I am keen to speak to anyone who saw a man acting suspiciously outside the pub, particularly two groups of people who passed him as he sat outside at about 3.10am."
Anyone with information should call 101 quoting serial 355 of 25 September or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
