In your report, “Protests will continue until shop closes down” (The Argus, October 1), you show two pictures – in them I counted 15 Israeli flags and not one Palestinian flag.
I was not at the SodaStream protest, either as a participant or an onlooker, but this does not seem to reflect accurately what was happening.
It is probably true that more Palestinians than Israelis are employed by the company and are paid more than the Israeli national average but it remains a fact that SodaStream is situated on Palestinian land.
In Apartheid South Africa, there were Bantu (ie, African) millionaires but this did not prevent the world protesting (quite rightly) about the situation there.
