A stricken vessel which got caught in a thunderstorm was rescued by RNLI volunteers.
The lifeboat at Eastbourne was alerted at about 8.20pm last night when two people on the 10 metre Dutch yacht called for assistance when their engine lost power in an electrical storm.
With support from coastguard officials, RNLI volunteers located the boat four miles off shore.
It was then towed to safety to Eastbourne’s Sovereign Harbour.
