Having been involved in various anti-fracking demos over the years, I was heartened by the women’s anti-fracking demonstration held outside the Labour Women’s Conference (The Argus, September 23).
The anti-fracking demonstration at Balcombe, which I attended, is only a taste of a much larger campaign mounting across the country.
Politicians of all parties need to recognise the swell of public opinion opposed to fracking and the damage to the environment, particularly to clean water supplies.
No organisation has the right to pollute our beautiful countryside, contaminating water resources for generations to come.
