As a passionate supporter of Kemp Town and, in particular, St James’s Street in Brighton, I was delighted to see a new independent bakery opening last weekend.

This is exactly the kind of business venture we need to be attracting to the area and I firmly believe independents are the lifeblood of any high street.

It is, of course, a difficult time for independents to set up given the current climate so I wholeheartedly applaud this bold move.

This new store will be a welcome addition to the St James’s Street area and I wish it every good fortune.
