A Shakedown reveller was left with a broken jaw after someone stamped on his face as he lay on the floor. 

The 28-year-old man from Worthing was approached by another man in the Supercharged tent at about 9pm on the Saturday night and punched to the ground, where the savage attack continued.

The victim was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with a fractured jaw. Police are now appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Scott Moore said: "The suspect is described as a white, short man in his late 20s with a bald head and we are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or was in the Audio tent at the time of the assault to talk to us. The vicitm has suffered a fractured jaw in this nasty and unprovoked attack.

"Anyone who saw what happened is asked to get in touch on 101 or email contact.centre@sussex.pnn.police.uk"

Police are also investigating a second assault. A man has been charged for ABH for allegedy hitting another man in the face with a bottle during an altercation.

Liam Jones, 25, of Peartree Bridge, Milton Keynes has been charged with ABH and will appear at Brighton Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 10.
