Lewes firefighters called to chimney fire
Residents were forced to leave their homes after a chimney fire got out of control.
Firefighters from Lewes were called to a home in Highbridge Lane, East Chiltington, at 7.20pm last night.
Crews used a 10m roof ladder to clear out the chimney stack and carried out a home safety inspection while at the property before leaving at just before 8.30pm.
