A teenage girl has been arrested following a series of arsons in Shoreham.
The first incident was reported at Shoreham Health Centre in Pond Road at 8.50pm on Saturday, September 28 when they were called to a group of small fires.
More small fires were started at 9.30pm on September 29 around the health centre again and at 10.20pm at St Mary's Church in Pond Road.
PC Chris Bartram said: "Although there was very little damage caused in these incidents they had the potential to cause huge disruption in the area.”
A 17-year-old girl from Bognor has been arrested and questioned on suspicion of arson. She has been released on bail until November 14 while officers carry out further inquiries.
