A woman suffered only minor injuries after her car overturned.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Drove Crescent and Valley Road in Portslade at 7.45am this morning following the reports.
A police spokesman said: “It was initially thought someone may have been trapped inside but it was found that the woman driver had got out and had only minor injuries.
“A fire engine sent to the incident was stood down en route.
“Valley Road was closed for a short while to allow the overturned vehicle to be recovered.”
