A man tried to trick firefighters into letting him into a property he was evicted from.
Crews from Hastings Bohemia Road station were called to Caves Road in St Leonards at about 9.40am today.
A man claimed that a cat had been locked inside the property for 48 hours.
But, after being alerted to the reality, crews did not help him enter the home.
