Police are on the hunt for alleged arsonists after a spate of incidents in Hove last night.

Crews from East Sussex Fire and Rescue were called to three incidents between 11.25pm and midnight as waste was set alight.

They took place in the Goldstone Road and Clarendon Road areas of Hove.

The first involved a communal bin in the street.

Fire crews said the two further incidents saw large piles of waste set alight.

Officers from Sussex Police have been notified.

Representatives from the force will join fire investigation teams at the scene later today.
