The Clean Neighbourhoods and Environmental Bill (a Private Members’ Bill) is currently before the House of Lords awaiting consideration.
One amendment I hope Sussex MPs will consider is making blatant littering a summary offence.
In this way, littering would be treated the same as the offence of urinating in a public place, for example.
Revenue from fines could be shared between the police and the local council.
