In these days of seemingly total cynicism in the world of professional sport, it is a real pleasure to encounter people and a club which show that true sportsmanship is still alive and well.
My son is undergoing intense treatment for a serious illness.
Staying with us for a few days of respite, his one wish was to see a Brighton and Hove Albion game at the Amex stadium.
I was concerned that organising a wheelchair place and parking at short notice would be too much, but James Twiddy in Albion’s ticket office could not have been more helpful.
My thanks also go to the person who stopped to help us with the wheelchair on the long trek from the car park to the stadium and the steward who went out of his way to take us to our places when we went in the wrong entrance.
And Albion scored three goals right in front of us.
Many thanks to you all for making the day special.
