I had a shock when I was driving down the road by the Brighton Dome recently when a cyclist, who I had been observing so as to avoid a collision, decided to cycle straight into the left side of my car.
I duly stopped to see if the cyclist was okay and instead got a mouthful of abuse.
I asked if he was insured so we could give each other their details.
I was told to “f-off”.
In light of all this, it is time for cyclists to get insured.
I thank my lucky stars no one was seriously hurt but we all have a responsibility to observe all that is happening in and around the road.
Some cyclists are basically in their own world and simply do not care about the danger signs of these situations.
