Tax experts will give insights on managing charities.
Russell New, a firm of business, tax and charity advisers, will host its annual Trustees’ Week Charity Conference at the Sussex County Cricket Ground, Hove, on November 7.
The event will welcome delegates who will have a choice of different break-away sessions and listen to key note speeches from Peter Hepburn, chief executive of Cats Protection and Glynn Jones, chair of Emmaus (Brighton and Hove).
It will also feature a sector update session which will cover financial and governance matters.
MORE:
Mark Cummins, charities and education partner at Russell New said: “There are more than one million trustee positions in England and Wales and estimates suggest that almost half of charities have at least one vacancy on their board. Trustees’ Week highlights the work they do and the opportunities that are available to them.
"However, our event takes it further in that we delve deeper and touch on sensitive issues such as defining governance responsibilities against those led by the management within a charity.
"The conference will be educational for anyone involved in the sector or is considering becoming a trustee or joining those employed by charities.”
The delegate rate is £99+VAT and this includes lunch, refreshments throughout the day and conference material.
