A leading transport provider has been given a five star award for how it is improving the way it runs its business and improving passenger service.
First Capital Connect (FCC) has received the Recognised For Excellence award to the delight of managing director David Statham.
He said: “We are working as hard as possible to improve the service we give our passengers by focusing on the three things we know count the most: punctuality, train cleanliness and good service information.
“This five-star award shows that we are right in our use of the EFQM Excellence Model to focus on customer and stakeholder needs as well as our results-orientated approach to improving passenger service levels.”
The recent assessment by the British Quality Foundation said FCC had shown significant improvement over the past 18 months including greater awareness by employees of the company vision and involving staff in business development.
