Being the wife of a taxi driver who has held a clean licence for 46 years and has worked at City Cabs for more than 25 years, I am disgusted that the likes of Green councillor Ben Duncan can even suggest debating a boycott of City Cabs (The Argus, September 16).
Even more so that this can be supported by some Green delegates visiting our city because they do not agree with a point of view. Whatever next?
It is my husband’s job within this company that supported myself and our children when they were young so I could stay at home. It helped us through two major recessions, supported our daughter through university and bolstered our finances when the Green council restructured my pay as a care worker downward – a fact they will no doubt deny.
