This month, chancellor George Osborne has claimed the UK economy has finally turned a corner, with the national economic mood becoming one of "cautious optimism".
Labour leader Ed Miliband is also set to address issues of economic recovery in his keynote speech to the Labour Party conference in Brighton this afternoon.
