Terminating HS1 and HS2 in London seems the same as the South Coast railway halting at Brighton’s terminus station.
These passengers have to disembark, cross eight platforms and wait for a connecting coastway train before continuing their journey east or west.
As a result, more people cross Brighton by car or bus, increasing traffic pollution.
