The records of Lord Lucan detailing the treatment for a broken nose he suffered after a speedboat accident in 1963 on to go under the hammer.
The operation was carried out at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead and the notes written by renowned plastic surgeon Dr John Watson, The late surgeon's daughter, Carolyn Allen, inherited the notes and is now planning to sell them at auction on Thursday.
The pre-sale estimate has been set at just £150, but the item is expected to fetch far more.
Lord Lucan disappeared in 1974 at the same time as the family nanny Sandra Rivett was murdered.
His Ford Corsair was later found abandoned in Newhaven with bloodstains in the front seat and a lead pipe in the boot but he has never been found. He was officially declared dead in 1999.
The medical card is headed Bingham Lord Michael John and detail the Lord's injuries and includes a sketch done by Dr Watson of his nose.
It is dated September 7, 1963 and states: “Struck nose on steering wheel of boat columnella profuse bleeding at time.
“Laceration floor of nose Rv. Vestibule. Compound dislocated septum with fragment projecting into Rt vestibule Nasal lanes appear intact.”
