Apple mania broke out at a city park yesterday as a celebration to the original fruit was held.
Stanmer Park in Brighton played host to the popular Apple Day with hundreds of fruit lovers running their eye over the top of the pips.
Events at the one-day festival |included talks on caring for fruit trees and how to identify different apple varieties.
The core-king day was organised by Brighton Permaculture Trust with help from Brighton and Hove Food Partnership Trust and Stanmer Orchard Group.
The most active of apple-eaters were able to pick up the Bike Train to cycle to and from the popular event.
