A charity has been forced to close its two high-street shops because of a lack of customers and donations.
The Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land has been forced to close its stores in Church Walk in Burgess Hill, which opened in 2011, and Station Road in Portslade, which was opened by Des Lynam in April last year.
Charity staff said they had been forced to close the shops because they weren’t attracting enough customers or donations.
However, they stressed that the charity was still very much a going concern and donations could be made at www.safehaven4donkeys.org or by calling 01273 421761.
