Seagulls fans donned flamenco hats and matador outfits to celebrate the “beautiful football” of Spain.

With the likes of David Lopez, Andrea Orlandi, Inigo Calderon, Bruno Saltor and a management team led by "scar García the club boasts an unprecedented Spanish contingent.

Albion fans young and old took to the theme with good humour waving flags, donning sombreros and wearing ‘Spanish Dave’ T-shirts – the affectionate nickname for Lopez.

Supporters willed their side to “Ole! Ole!” against Bolton at The Amex on Saturday – and the Albion bull-charged to a 3-1 win.

Liz Costa, vice chair of the Albion supporters club, said: “There was a great atmosphere. A lot of matadors so I think the bulls were all dead.

“The kids loved it and really got into it.

“We’ve got so many Spanish connections, so why not? Our management team is from Spain so it’s only right we celebrate that. Club’s have all different themes these days and this is ours.

“The Spanish have brought us beautiful football, which was started under Gus. We wouldn’t have it any other way, it’s lovely.”

Prizes such as Thomas Cook holiday vouchers, David Lopez’s match shirt and dinner at Casa Don Carlos Restaurant in the Lanes were on offer.

Spanish players also gave fans an exclusive guide to “what’s hot and what’s not” for all things Espanola.

There was also a children’s prize with the lucky winner invited to be a mascot for a future game including complimentary tickets for mum and dad.

Fans enjoyed match-day food with a Continental twist and a special Catalonian beer on sale.
