A few years ago, Brighton and Hove City Council introduced community bins in parts of the city.
At the time, I knew they would attract people’s unwanted belongings.
How right I was. I have seen wardrobes, mattresses, tables, even a complete toilet and all kinds of other clutter blighting our streets.
It is absolutely disgusting. Where are these so-called enforcement officers the council is supposed to employ?
Nobody seems to care. What impression visitors gain I can hardly imagine...
