Last Friday I spent a lovely day in Brighton with my wife as we spent many happy times there in the past. We spent quite a bit of time and money shopping in local shops and stores.
We parked in Churchill Square car park. On returning to the car park I was disgusted with the charge I had to pay: £25 for six and a half hours. That’s more than £4 an hour. This is more than some car parks in London and three times more than Guildford and Basingstoke.
Please don’t tell me this is for overheads. I would like to know how they came to this price.
Will I be coming back to Brighton and spending money? No. Will I be telling friends and family about the cost of parking? Yes, I will.
