A man was found in a Hove street with stab wounds to his head and body.

The 22-year-old was discovered at about 2.25pm yesterday (Tuesday) in Ingram Crescent East, Hove.

The man, from South London, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital to be treated for several stab wounds to his head and body, three of which required stiches.

He later discharged himself and returned home.

Police said enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances and no arrests have been made at this stage.
