Zoe Busby and her crew should get real (The Argus, September 5).
The sludgy West Beach in Newhaven is part of a commercial port on which many people’s jobs depend.
The harbour is used every day by Transmanche Ferries, providing an excellent link to France for thousands of cars, trucks and foot passengers as well as commercial shipping and yachts.
If a child or adult is injured by the wash from these ships, who will be held responsible?
There are plenty of excellent shingle and sand beaches to the east and west of this port without the need to wade through sludgy sand at low tide or paddle in polluted water.
Please give it a rest, Zoe and co, and let the port get on with improvements for 21st-century marine traffic.
