1... Audio’s Ninth Birthday with DJ Sneak
Audio, Marine Parade, Brighton, Friday, September 13
To celebrate its ninth year as one of Brighton’s best music-led clubs, Audio has called on one of dance music’s biggest names. DJ Sneak rose through the ranks of the Chicago house scene, following the path of the city’s genre pioneers Steve Hurley and Frankie Knuckles. Sneak’s ability to remain relevant is all the more impressive considering he started out in 1983. Currently his signature disco-filtered house sound is more fashionable than ever with Daft Punk championing an ascent of the genre.

2... Run The Mic UK
Concorde 2, Madeira Drive, Brighton, Saturday, September 14
Some of UK hip-hop’s biggest names, Jehst and Skinnyman, head up the bill for what will undoubtedly be a sweaty, late night. In the early 2000s, the Low Life Records duo were threatening to break into wider consciousness. They never surpassed the big names of grime but Jehst’s The Return Of The Drifter and Skinnyman’s Council Estate Of Mind were acclaimed in the music press. Still promoting the niche scene, they finish a night featuring some of the genre’s next generation: English Frank, Ceezlin and hometown boy Kush D.

3... Seth Troxler
Coalition, King’s Road Arches, Brighton, Saturday, September 14
The house prodigy, Visionquest label boss and, according to Resident Advisor, the world’s number one DJ brings his vaunted crate to Brighton seafront. The legend goes that Troxler announced himself aged 16 with a set at the famous Panorama Bar in Berlin and has never looked back. He now manages tech and house supergroup Visionquest and its namesake label. Despite his big reputation, his sets are still known for their underground content and his ability to read a crowd is second to none.
