This groundbreaking installation was deliberately designed to go over the heads of the audience.
The Testbed project at Fabrica in Ship Street, Brighton, gives artists the chance to try out a new piece of work during the Brighton Digital Festival.
Caleb Madden and Bartosz Dylewski developed a live performance called Speed of Sound/Speed of Light.
Waves of sound were broadcast across the gallery at the same time as software generated a series of images.
Mr Madden said: “The performance involved controlled waves of sound and light, allowing the presence and effect of these forces to be felt in new ways.”
The Brighton Digital Festival takes place at various venues across the city throughout September.
