A couple were attacked and robbed at knife-point of cash and drugs in their flat.
Two men forced their way into their flat in Braybrooke Road, Hastings, on Friday, September 6.
Police believe it was a targeted attack with the occupants forced to hand over £800 cash and cannabis plants.
They were tied up before the men fled.
DC Dan Schiraldi said: "We are investigating the circumstances and it appears that the robbers may have known the man."
The men are described as between 30 and 40 years old, one black, slim and about 5' 10", the other mixed race, muscular, 6' 3" with a light woolly hat and beige jacket.
Witnesses should contact police on 101 quoting serial 35 6/9 or email contact.centre@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
