A picture has been released of a man believed to be connected with a gang who held up a coffee shop.
The incident happened at Costa Coffee in London Road, Brighton, on Monday, July 15 when five men entered the shop and bought food and drinks.
They sat at a table but two of them then left and went into the staff area where it is believed they stole personal property from bags.
When confronted by a member of staff, they demanded he open the safe and give them the money armed with a hammer and a screwdriver.
A police spokesperson said: “This robbery happened several weeks ago but a number of enquiries have been undertaken during that time and we were waiting for evidence to come back before releasing this photo.
“If anyone recognises the man in the image then we would ask them to call police immediately on 101, quoting serial 0198 of 15/07, or email contact.centre@ sussex.pnn.police.uk. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
