What a difference a day makes.
While hundreds flocked to the beach on Thursday, it was a different story yesterday, when there was hardly a soul to be seen.
However, it is not all doom and gloom for beach-goers.
Sunday’s forecast consists of sunny intervals with temperatures peaking at 17C before the return of heavy rain on Monday.
Rosie James, 34, of Lansdowne Square in Hove, said: “It looks like the summer is definitely over. Today the weather has been awful. I walk my dog on the seafront and it was empty both times I went out.
“Can’t really complain though, it has been a fantastic summer in Brighton.”
