A £5,000 reward has been offered to anyone who can help bring alleged rapists to justice.

Last year, on Friday September 7, a 19-year-old woman, from Kent, was raped on Brighton beach near the West Pier in the early hours after she become separated from her friends following a night out at a Brighton club.

In conjunction with Crimestoppers, £5,000 pounds will be given out when information is given to Crimestoppers that leads to the arrest and conviction of the people or person responsible for this rape.

She reported she was raped by two men on the beach between Coalition nightclub and Regency Square sometime between midnight and 2.30am.

Acting Detective Chief Inspector Ian Still, who is leading on the investigation, said: "We are renewing our appeal a year on from this nasty attack to try and bring whoever did this to her to justice.

We have this CCTV image of a man we want to speak to and hope that some can help us identify him.

"The man in the image seems to be familiar with the area as we see him walking north along West Street and turning right into Duke Street.

"He described as in his 20s, around 5' 7", of medium build, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing a light coloured T-shirt with a large motif on the front, blue jeans, trainers and a baseball cap.

"This was a terrifying attack on a young woman which has greatly affected both the lives of victim and her family.

"We need to find the man who did this and make sure he is put away for a very long time.

"This has been an exhaustive investigation with a number of arrests and enquiries are continuing but we do need information about this man seen in the images, who we have never spoken to.

"We are offering a £2,500 reward and Crimestoppers have pledged to add another £2,500, taking the total to £5,000 if the information leading to an arrest and conviction comes through them."

Police are keen to identify a man seen in CCTV images who they wish to speak to and eliminate from their enquiries and are also now offering a reward.
