In response to Mr A Gumbrill’s letter (August 26), it may interest him to know that a cycle path does not in fact stretch the whole route from Woodingdean to Brighton and Hove Albion’s stadium.

I believe the two bordering councils were incapable of agreeing on a new path.

This means for half of the route you would have to cycle on the road. If you were a regular visitor to the stadium you would know that the volume of traffic and danger on the road could cause more accidents.

Maybe comments about the football should be left to those of us who actually attend.
