WITH VIDEO: A dog which struggles to use its hind legs because of a debilitating disease is now enjoying long walks - thanks to a new set of wheels.
Cute Rose was taken to New Priory Vets in Brighton on July 15 with intervertebral disc disease, leaving her with no feeling or movement in her hind legs.
The Jack Russell was given an intensive course of physiotherapy, hydrotherapy and fitted with wheels so she could go on longer walks.
Rose now has feeling in her legs and is starting to use them.
But her owner is unable to keep her and the veterinary practice is trying to help Rose to find a new home.
Greg Clark, a partner at New Priory Vets, said: “Rose is a cuddle monster but she will need ongoing support to help her progress and does not always have control of her bladder yet, although it is also improving since she first came in.
“Rose cannot be homed with other dogs or cats, and needs someone with a lot of time, patience and love to give.
“We would like to continue providing Rose with her veterinary care, and for her new owner to keep in touch regularly.
“If somebody has the time she would be an incredibly rewarding pet. We have all fallen in love with her.”
