I would like to point out to Brighton and Hove’s Green council that Wild Park and Stanmer Park belong to the people of this city, not the council we pay in taxation to manage them for us.
It’s time we were asked if we want travellers taking over these parks, with the enormous costs we are left with every time.
I can think of much better uses of this money: better care of the elderly, perhaps, who too often get blamed for this country’s ills.
Bus passes, incidentally, are funded by the Government and the people who use them pay all sorts of taxation. The elderly also pay this, even though they live on a pittance.
