A bonfire had to put out after smoke billowed across a busy road last night (September 1).
Firefighters from Roedean station were called to the bonfire in Rowan Way, Rottingdean, shortly after 11pm.
Smoke from the bonfire was reported to be drifting across nearby Falmer Road.
Firefighters doused the flames and left the bonfire to burn out.
