Horseracing fans of the future were given an action-packed introduction to the historic sport.
Goodwood Racecourse welcomed hundreds of children for a new and interactive ‘Kids Love Racing’ roadshow on Saturday and Sunday.
The roadshow is designed to help children find out more about the world of horseracing – otherwise known as the ‘sport of the kings’.
Last weekend’s show helped youngsters find out more about the equine and human stars of the sport, plus gave them the chance to design their own racing silks and take a look at some specialist racing equipment.
Curious minds were also able to discover what racehorses eat to keep them in tip-top condition and learn about what happens at the track, as well as putting their own jumping skills to the test on a mini-hurdles course.
This Sunday, the roadshow will make an appearance at Brighton racecourse where kids go free with a paying adult.
