So, all the thugs are now out shooting as many innocent badgers as they can. Why? This government is not listening to science – they just want to appease the farmers, who we all know want every badger exterminated. After all, if it doesn’t make them money, they want it dead.

We must all continue to fight for these iconic creatures. They have been in this country for hundreds of years. The culled badgers are not even being tested for TB, so who knows if they are infected at all? If the Welsh government can vaccinate them, why can’t we?

Hey you there, badger cullers... how come you chose us to be the sole culprit of a disease called tuberculosis bovine?

Fair enough we do not have your brilliant minds but have a heart divine and cannot understand how a disease inflicting our brethren can be cured by killing us? It does not make sense. Bacterias live everywhere, it is the susceptibility that needs to be cured. It starts with enough healthy living space, natural feed, love and more.

Our ancient and wise friends, the trees, sadly tell us that such is the human way.

We live in service to you guys and die. The whole forest will be shocked and cry.

Ulrike O’Callaghan, Palmeira Square, Hove

It’s funny we believe that killing one type of animal, the badger, is wrong yet killing others is right.

As we do not need to eat animal products to be healthy, raising animals to make meat, milk and dairy is unnecessary.

We should not forget that dairy cows and egg-laying hens are also sent to the slaughterhouse once they are worn out.
