I just wanted to let you all know how blown away I was by the work at Brighton Sand Sculpture Festival during my visit last weekend. The sculptures were truly magnificent and I loved the music theme, which in itself provided an interesting journey through music history.
My particular favourites were the giant Beethoven head and the Fatboy Slim sculpture – both of which I found mesmerizing. But there was an astonishing amount of detail in all the works on show. It just amazes me what you have achieved with simple blocks of sand. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
It was also fascinating finding out about the work that goes on during the sculpting process. I felt this was a great learning environment for youngsters and in general a great place to visit for all the family.
Added to a warm and welcoming environment and the fantastic live music playing in the cafe bar, this was an experience I’ll never forget. Thank you, and I hope to catch you again next time.
