Investigation work is continuing this morning after firefighters evacuated residents within 50 metres of a gas leak.
Two crews, from Newhaven and Roedean, were called to a property in Grassmere Avenue, Telscombe Cliffs, at 19:59 on Sunday August 25.
Gas distribution company Southern Gas Networks were in attendance as crews evacuated people from their homes on safety grounds.
The gas and electric supply was cut in the area and police cordoned off a part of the road.
Fire investigation work is ongoing in an attempt to establish the reason for the leak.
