Since the closing of the United Servicemen’s Club in St James’s Street, Brighton, it has come to my notice that Brighton and Hove has little else to offer ex-servicemen such as myself who may want to meet likeminded people for a drink or chat.
I’m led to believe the Brighton and Hove branch of the Royal British Legion has a meeting once a month in Upper Rock Gardens.
But not every ex-serviceman or woman wants to become a member of the RBL.
One would have thought that someone in Brighton and Hove might be able to offer ex-service personnel somewhere they could meet now and again.
I would welcome any suggestions through the Letters pages of The Argus.
