We are now coming towards the end of another fantastic year at Bevendean School and I continue to feel so proud of our school. The staff work so hard and are absolutely committed to helping the children to be successful in their learning. As a result, the children make really good progress during their time with us. We have had many visitors during the last four months and all have commented on the vibrant feel of the school and the amazing sense of focus. A recent governor visit noted the children's’ independence, their commitment to their work, their behaviour, their interest in what they were doing and their enthusiasm in talking about it. They felt there was a confidence in the children which will help them become confident learners in the future.
Our Y3 children have been lucky enough to be involved in a community project funded by the National Lottery and run by Helen Jones from the Trust for Developing Communities. They have been involved in activities to find out about the history of Bevendean and also many different historical arts and crafts. The children have thoroughly enjoyed all the days and have learnt a tremendous amount. I would like to thank Helen and the community group for all their hard work.
We wish all of our families a lovely summer break and look forward to seeing everyone in September.
Our Reception classes are now nearly full for September (2 spare places) but we have six empty places for Nursery. Please contact us as soon as possible if you would like to take one of these up.
