Fast and Furious 6 is by far the best film in the franchise! I found the 1st three films quite boring but things started to pick up by film number 4 and 5! This was the first that I actually went to see at the cinema and I’m so glad I did!
The film’s set mostly in London and involves Dominic Toretto and his gang of drivers being recruited by former enemy and DSS agent, Luke Hobbs, to bring down criminal Owen Shaw, in return for the whole gang being pardoned for their earlier crimes.
Although some (not many) of the London based scenes seem to be more of a “spot the famous building” game, they add a sense of reality to the film that perhaps you wouldn’t get if it was set in Rio again.
It’s set around a year after the 5th film which is obvious by the fact that Brian O’Conner and his girlfriend Mia Toretto now have a baby, meaning Mia doesn’t play as big a part in this movie as she did in the previous films.
There are lots of twists and turns in the film including one at the end that you won’t see coming! The action shots as usual are amazing and one particular highlight is the chase scene where Dom catches a certain game-changing character over a motorway.
You’ve got to stay after the credits! There’s not only the death of an important character but also it leads into the already confirmed Fast And Furious 7 (A direct sequel to Tokyo Drift).
The cast and supporting cast are excellent with some great one liners from Dwayne Johnson who for one scene drops the “I’m a tough guy, look at my muscles” act. The ending is nice and adds a sense of calm to the movie and that everything is finally over…for now.
Go see Fast and Furious 6 whilst it’s still in cinemas! Even if you haven’t seen the others, just read up on them and go and watch the film! You won’t regret paying the extortionate cinema prices for this one movie! I really have nothing bad to say about it!
