THESE are the first images of a planned revamp for a trendy hotel.
Two houses will be demolished in Pavilion Mews, Brighton, to make way for the extension of myhotel in Jubilee Street.
Bosses at the hotel said a three-bedroom penthouse apartment will be built on top of the hotel to replace the lost houses.
The scheme, drawn up by Chalk Architecture, will go before Brighton and Hove City Council’s planning committee on August 28. The upgrade will create 20 new jobs.
Paul Nicholson, director at the firm in Gloucester Road, said: “The extensions and alterations to the building will provide 14 new hotel suites and change the basement car park into a music and events venue.” Ben Ferrer, general manager at myhotel, said: “We need the extra space because we have been so successful. We offer something unique in the city and we need to make maximum use of the space.”
