Pass by Findon on the A24 north of Worthing and it looks like any old stretch of suburbia. But as this picture from 1921 shows, the village had charm and much of it remains.
The Victorian postbox mounted on a wall was later moved to the bottom of Church Drive.
From the first gate on the left there is access to an old well.
A distinctive round window on the nearest house is one of several in Findon.
This card was part of a set issued some years ago in aid of St John the Baptist Church restoration fund.
